A young man humiliating himself as a public advertising figure, a schoolgirl anxiously wondering about her career chances, job seekers who are supposed to see their body as a trademark ... The impositions and dressing down of today's working world, both physical and psychological, are the subject of Sollbruchstelle. Self-worth and self-image are reduced to the current market value of labour. Stotz tells the story of her father Franz, who was laid off after 40 years, sued against it, won and got his job as a manager back, but still ended up on the siding. As imposições e o vestir do mundo do trabalho de hoje, tanto físicas como psicológicas, são o tema de Sollbruchstelle. A auto-estima e a auto-imagem são reduzidas ao actual valor de mercado do trabalho. Stotz conta a história do seu pai Franz, que foi despedido após 40 anos, processado contra ela, ganhou e recuperou o seu emprego como gerente, mas mesmo assim acabou por ficar de fora. "Menschen auf dem Weg zur Arbeit, morgens, in der S-Bahn. Müde Gesichter. Leere Blicke. Gedrängte Körper in unterkühlten, trostlosen Stadtlandschaften. In ständiger Eile: schnell, schnell ins Büro. Ein junger Mann, der sich als Werbefigur in der Öffentlichkeit erniedrigt, eine Schülerin, die ängstlich über ihre Karrierechancen nachdenkt, Arbeitssuchende, die ihren Körper als Markenzeichen sehen sollen ... Die physischen und psychischen Zumutungen und Abwertungen der heutigen Arbeitswelt sind Thema von Sollbruchstelle. Selbstwert und Selbstbild werden auf den aktuellen Marktwert der Arbeit reduziert. Stotz erzählt die Geschichte ihres Vaters Franz, der nach 40 Jahren entlassen wurde, dagegen klagte, gewann und seinen Job als Manager zurückbekam, aber trotzdem auf dem Abstellgleis landete.
